App-based configuration offers basic control, while browser-based configuration offers more possibilities with regard to the various filtering functions. Context-sensitive explanations are available for the content criteria. The device can either be set-up as a child or a family device.

FUNCTIONALITY
The tool offers various possibilities for filtering. Five different pre-set filtering profiles (ranging from ‘Pre-Teen’ to ‘Adult’) can be adjusted. Web content can be filtered, monitored, blocked or allowed via categories. Additionally, websites can be added to a black and a white list. A Safe Search is available. Mobile apps and contacts can be blocked or allowed. A chat filter is automatically applied and can be adjusted. Parents can set an e-mail alert for various misuse attempts, such as trying to use a blocked peer-to-peer app or trying to access blocked web content. Time limits can be set.
